Have you heard of a Joseph Albert Black who was born in Floyd Co., Ga in 1848? He enlisted in the Confederate Army in 1862 in Scooba, Kemper Co., Miss. Unfortunately, they have him listed as Joseph B. Black. He applied for a pension and said that he arrived in Tx abt 1870 and lived in Brown Co., Tx. Since Kemper Co is just over the border with Al. I am not sure if he lived in Al. or Miss. He married Ada Francis Bailey in Tx. She was born in 1854 in Coweta Co., Ga. He died in 1915 and they are buried in Corpus Christi, Tx. Hope you might know something about our Joseph.
