I don't have any info regarding a middle name for Jane Dickson, but I find the Russell name intriguing.....William Black and his wife, Nancy McCloy, are buried in the Strasburg Cemetery, located next to the Strasburg Presbyterian Church in Strasburg, Lancaster County, PA. Near them is a Russell (possibly John?). It's been a number of years since I was there, but I've always been curious about this Russell who is buried near all these Blacks...perhaps there is a connection? I believe the stone also has some info regarding this Russell's immigration to US (1815 maybe?). Does any of this fit into your info? As for William Russell Black.... William and Nancy's son, Thomas Alexander, did have a son named William, but I think he would have been older than your William Russell. My records indicate that he died after 1949, and was living in NYC in 1949. Still, the Russell surname is really interesting!! Seems to me there MUST be a relationship there somewhere!
