Message Board Post:

Need to know parents of MARGARET BLACK (b. 1846) and ANNA BLACK (b. 1851) living in household of GREEN BLACK in 1870, Dist. # 7, Worth County, GA. These two women are listed after Green Black's wife and children as "keeping house" in his household; both born in Georgia, and of course this census does not list relationship to head of household.

GREEN BLACK (b. 1826, Screven Co, GA) married 21 April 1852 in Baker County, GA, Mrs. CATHERINE FAIRCLOTH (b. c. 1821). Who was Catherine's husband?

Catherine Faircloth had Zachariah Faircloth (b. 1845) and Archibald Faircloth (b. 1850).

Children of Green Black and Mrs. Catherine Faircloth:
Morgan, Jane, Roxyanne, Welthy Ann, Louisa, Betsy, Charles.

Green Black was son of DOUGLAS AND ANNA BLACK of Screven County, GA. DOUGLAS BLACK moved from Screven County ca. 1827 to Decatur and Thomas Counties, Georgia. He is listed in 1850 census in Irwin County, Georgia. I am assuming he died after this census.

Green Black moved to Madison County, Florida from Georgia between 1870-1880. He lived in Hernando and Citrus Counties, Florida from mid 1880's until he died in 1904.

Any help appreciated.
