I am looking for family of Janet and James Black. Janet was born Janet Davidson Beaton in 1900 in Scotland. Her parents were Isabella Cowan and Robert Beaton. She had a half brother William Cowan Beaton born 1898,(mother Isabella Cowan) Robert Beaton, James Beaton, and a half sister Isabella Beaton.(mother Isabella Henderson) Isabella Cowan died in 1901(parents William Cowan and Janet Davidson). Janet, we think, went to live with family. Janet married James Black and they had three children 2 boys and a girl. The eldest boy was named William Beaton Black and the girl was Eliza ? Black. I am not sure of the 2nd boy's name. I think that it is also James Beaton Black.
Janet died in 1941 in Scotland. My grandfather William Cowan Beaton searched in the 1940's for information on his father Robert Beaton. Eliza Black had sent him a reply. If any of this sounds familiar please let me know. I am only doing family research and would love to hear from 'cousins' I never knew.
