One of my great great grandma's was Polly Black, m. John Brown Lawrence County, Alabama Nov 1820. Polly was born @ 1801 in NC according to census records. 1850 in Walker County, Alabama. 1860 Lawrence County, Arkansas. John Brown her husband had died before 1850 census while they were still in Alabama, not sure when. Might have died before 1840.

Are also interested in Jonathan Black, teacher at Cherokee Mission school @ 1804-1814. Where was he from? Where did he go? Believed to be the "Mr Black" whose home Doublehead was murdered in.
