I am looking for any information or background concerning a poor house/asylum in Rushville, IN. I possibly have ancestors who were residents of said place during the 1870-1880 (or later) period. Listed in 1870 were a Jerry and an Elizabeth Black. 1880 Census lists an Elizabeth and an Ida Black. Elsewhere in Rush Co.(also 1880), there is a listing for a Jerry, Jesse, and Lucky Black at a children's home operated by a Jennie Huddleson. Thanks for any help.
