Hi all! Inspiration hit me just now! As you know, the new website will be up
and running in about a month. In the meantime, I just thought of something
that I would love to add to the page, but I need all your help. If you're
interested and/or have the time, why not write up your family history. Maybe a
personal story you've heard about one of your ancestors (surnames relating to
Barringer, Black, Bradford, Coventry, Eller, Hackett, Hupp, or Kern) or just a
run down of who your ancestors (of those surnames are) in a text file. I have
a few of these files already for Bradford and Hackett, but not really for the
other surnames. What a great way to let everyone know what lines you are
researching and what information you have! If you decide to do this, be sure
to include your sources in the write up somehow, as end notes or something.
Many people are wary of genealogy info on the internet without sources cited
(for good reason), so include your sources to make it more reliable. If you
don't have a source, that's fine, but cite them where you can. You can send
these to me either via the lists or to me personally. If you send them to the
list, make sure to note it's ok to post on the website. Also be sure to
include contact information (just your name and permanent email is fine, no
address necessary). Thanks all and good luck! Let's find those ancestors!
