Keith,
There is a considerable amount of information on the descendents of your Moses Black who married Polly Mullican in 1844 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Moses and Polly indeed had the children you provided in your message plus they may have had a few more, possibly Emily J. and Fillmore S., but I have not yet researched these individuals. Nancy Katherine Black (b. 1847 in Pulaski, Kentucky and d. 1871) married Leslie Combs Carmen in 1865 and had the following children of record, i.e., Telitha, Marion and Thomas.
Mary E. Black (b. 1849 Pulaski County, Kentucky and d. 1868 in Linn County, Kansas) apparently never married due to her early age at time of death. Matilda -sometimes shown as Martha in records- Black (b. 1854 in Casey County, Kentucky) married James Campbell in Kentucky but I have no further data on them. Francis Marion Black (b. 1855 in Casey County, Kentucky) married Elizabeth Nelson in Casey County, Kentucky but I have no record of children from this marriage. William Grant Black (b. 1857 in Casey County, Kentucky and d. 5 November 1880 in Wilson County, Kansas) also apparently did not marry due to his death at approximately age twenty-two. John Simpson Black (b. 27 October 1845 in Pulaski County, Kentucky and d. 20 April 1930 in Greenwood County, Kansas) was a doctor and married Mary Bstin on 22 June 1865 probably in Pulaski County, Kentucky. John and Mary had the following children of record, i.e., Clara Jane, Clarence Ransom, Eberle Meigs, and Etta Catherine. El!
izabeth Jane Black (b. 2 April 1852 in Casey County, Kentucky and d. 3 March 1929 in Chanute, Neosho County, Kansas) married Stephen Tucker 21 January 1872 in Mound City, Linn County, Kansas and had the following children, i.e., Ruthie Jane, Walter Leroy, Mary Adeline, Arthur Grant, Maggie Ann and Hattie Bell. Siltira Black (b. 2 April 1852 in Casey County, Kentucky and d. 2 December 1927 in Wilson County, Kansas) married Daniel Sprigg on 4 February 1877 in Casey County, Kentucky and had the following children, i.e., Minnie Bell, Gertrude, and Eliza J. Magdalena-sometimes seen as Maggie-Black (b. 19 April 1867 in Casey County, Kentucky and d. June 1936) married Thomas L. Wartenbe in Casey County, Kentucky and had one child of record, i.e., Etta. Most of the children mentioned can be taken one or more generations forward in time using data from the LDS database at www.familysearch.com and the contributed web sites contained on worldconnect.rootsweb.com. Hope this helps s!
ome and let me know if you need assistance in bringing the family line
age further forward in time.
