We may have a connection! My g-great grandfathers name was Lewis Black. He married Nancy Wadkins about 1840-44 in IL., had several children, Louise (called Lou), Jules, Molissa. Records say he was born in KY. I have been looking years for info on him, but it's hard when I don't know his parents names. May I ask why you are looking for him? Do you have any other info about him? I e-mailed a person doing research on his wife, but he didn't have anything except a name. Please get in touch with me it you have anything.
