I am looking for any information on Albert Sidney Johnson Black b. around 1870 or his wife. Family legend has it that he was a general in the south, lived in Pecos TX, and was sheriff for a while, possibly in Ochiltree Co., Perryton TX. He was born in a wagon train going from CA to TX, (wagons east), and around 1888 or 89 married Mary Elizabeth Forbes also born around 1870. She had a brother, Ed Forbes. There is mention of a C. E. Forbes in the Ochiltree Co. book my Uncle has and this may be him. He and his family moved to Azec/Farmington NM around 1927 with a brief stopover in Durango CO.
