I can't be certain this John S. Black is one of MY John S. Blacks...but here is what I have: John S. Black b in 1805 in Bourbon Co., Kentucky is the son of John S. Black Jr. (b unk), presuming there was a John S. Black Sr. The one born in 1805 married into the Taylor family from Ohio (from the George Taylor/Mary Thomas family, also of Ohio). All of these Blacks/Taylors/Thomas' mentioned moved to Missouri (Knox Co and Adair Co). Several of them moved to the St Louis, MO area.

I'm not so much interested in obtaining the book as I am in uncovering links for my Blacks and Taylors. The Blacks also married the Funks, who were from PA - and we were told a couple of generations ago that many of the Blacks were from PA also...but I've yet to uncover any hard evidence yet.
