Colchester, Vt. — Marjorie Lee Black, 80, of Colchester, Vt., died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.
She was born in Brooklyn on May 31, 1920, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Cook) Lee.
After moving to Vermont in 1965 with her husband, Malcolm Douglas Black, who predeceased her in 1987, she worked at St. Michael's College and the Fanny Allen Hospital. Prior to 1965 she lived in Mt. Tremper, N.Y., and Roosevelt, Long Island.
She is survived by her twin brother, Robert E. Lee of Brooklyn; two sons, Gordon D. Black of Vancouver, Wash., and Roger M. Black and daughter-in-law Bonnie-Leigh Black of Plattsburgh; four grandchildren, Douglas, Tighe, Kimberly and Darcie; and one great-grandchild, Noah.
A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Richard Hibbert at the Williston Federated Church on Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at 11 a.m.
Arrangements are by Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road, in Burlington.
