It seems like the same names show up in all generations and all branches. I had an uncle George Washington Black. I find others by the same name.
I searched back to Heinrich Schwartz. All I know is that he was from Prussia, then came to PA. His son Frederick Black fathered a son also named Frederick Black in PA in 1734 although some records say he was born in Deleware. Frederick Jr. lived in Botetourt County Virginia. Frederick Sr. died there in 1818. Frederick Jr. moved from VA to Tennessee and then on to Breckinridge County KY. At the age of 82, in 1852, he moved to Missouri and bought a farm. After the death of his wife he went back to KY to live with a son, Jacob. He died there in 1858, I think.
Jacob's son Samuel Carlton Black, my grandfather left Breckinridge County, KY and moved to McKinney,TX at the age of 65. He stayed there long enough to marry off two of his daughters and them moved to Oklahoma to file on land and was there by 1903. I know that because of the death of a son of gunshot wounds under mysterious circumstances in 1903 as attested to by newspaper clippings.
I don't know if this fits in with your family or not. I am still trying to find out more about Heinrich Schwartz. There are a lot of immigrant records in the 1800's but I haven't been able to source material in the 1700's
Thanks,
Roy W. Black
