Hi! I am hoping someone will be able to help me with my search of the Black
family. My great-great-great-grandfather, John Black was born in County
Down, Ireland between 1759 and 1766. He married Margaret Chambers who was born in
County Down, Ireland between 1763 and 1765. They were the parents of one
known child.

Their son, Robert Black, was born in Ireland in 1785 and died in 1854 in
Jefferson County, IA. He married Sarah Forinash in Harrison Co., WV on 25 Sept
1813. Sarah was born in 1798 and died in 1828, both events in Harrison Co., WV.
They were the parents of: Levi (1814); Loman (1815); Archibald (1817);
David (1819); Samuel K. (1822); George (1823); Robert E. (1825) and Susan C. (1828.

Their son, Samuel K. Black, was born 24 Jan 1822 in Harrison Co., WV and died
22 Nov 1908 in Des Moines, Jefferson Co., IA. On 17 April 1845, Samuel
married Eliza Harris in Jefferson Co., IA. Eliza was born 12 May 1823 in Ohio and
died 17 Dec. 1885 in Des Moines, Jefferson Co, IA.: They were the parents of
five daughters: Nancy (1846); Sarah Ann (1848); Hettie Silesta (1853); Eliza
Jane (1857; and Ellen (1863).

Their daughter, Sarah Ann Black married Benjamin Andrew Swartz on 14 June
1868 in Jefferson Co., IA; Sarah and Benjamin were my great-grandparents.

Can anyone add ANYTHING to this data? All help will be greatly appreciated!
