Ambrose's father was John S Black (b 1805 Bourbon Co, KY to John Black, mother unk) and his mother was Sarah Taylor (b 1806 Bourbon Co, KY to George Taylor, mother Mary Thomas).

Ambrose had sisters: Eliza (b 1837), Mary Jane (b 1848), and unknown sister.

His brothers: Thomas Jefferson (b 1838), Alexander (b 1840), George W (b 1841), and John Henry "Jack" (b 1843)

He may have other siblings - but those are all I know about.

I'm still looking for any clue to find out who John S Black's parents were (believe his father was also a John Black, but not certain), and if they had other children...hoping to tie my Bourbon Co Black family to one of the other Bourbon Co Black families since there were so many in the area - but so far nothing to go on.
