Gene,
If you are abosolutely certain about the birth date of Elizabeth Brown as being 1887 then I probably do not have data on the Julia that you are looking for. The only Julia Black that I have any records on with a Minnesota connection is Julia G. Black who was born in 1879 in Osseo, Hennepin County, Minnesota. I do not know who this Julia married but her parents were Henry C. Black (b. ~1846 in North Carolina) and Julia Hancock (b. ~1847 in North Carolina). This Julia had the following four siblings all of whom were born in Hennepin County, Minnesota, i.e., James H. (b. ~1870), Anna H. (b. ~1872), Ida W. (b. ~1875), and Walter C. (b. ~1877). It appears that Henry C. Black migrated from North Carolina to Minnesota about 1868 and settled in Osseo, Minnesota and set up a wagon making business of which he was either owner or co-owner for a number of years. I have not been able to connect this Henry C. Black directly with the very large Black clan who resided in the Carolinas.!
Also, there was a Brown family living in Osseo at this time who were in the wagon making business so there may be by chance some connection with John Brown and this Julia. Hope this helps a little.
