The Black family that i'm searching for were in the Laurel and Rockcastle cos. of KY in the late 1890s and early 1900s.
Luther Black m'd my great aunt Ida B. Clark ca 1901-03 in Laurel Co. KY. Am searching for their children.
Ida B. Clark BLACK b. 1885 Tenn. d. 1936 unknown location.
I have no info on her husband Luther Black.
He may be related to Larkin and Rhoda Gentry Black of Rockcastle Co. KY.
The widow Rhoda Gentry (Mrs. Larkin) Black
m'd 2nd John B. Clark, Nov. 1896, Laurel Co. KY.
John is Ida's B. Clark's father. (John's first wife, my GGM, is Permela/Amelia/Permelia E. Burton of Rockcastle Co. KY. From the ages of their children, they prob. married 1871-73.)
Permela Burton Clark died May 1896.
Rhoda G. Black Clark survived John B. Clark (died 1901) and was listed in the 1910 RC KY Census in HH of her brother James Gentry, RC, KY. i have no death info for Rhoda.
Does any of this sound familiar?
