I was named for my Aunt Necia DeGroot who was born in the Netherlands 1898 and immigrated to America in 1901 I have heard from many "Necia"s around the world - 25 or so (if your name is Necia, that is "alot" of people. My web page has a place to click on "What's in a name" and there I have the many languages that have the name Necia and their meanings. http://www.ascu.buffalo.edu/~black.
