The only Roxana Black that I have ever seen on the web based genealogical records for your time frame is Roxana Black who was born about 1819 in Maine. This Roxana according to the 1880 census was living on her son-in-law's farm (Elisha M. Watson who was born in 1823 in Massachusetts) located in Hampshire Township, Kane County, Illinois and is shown as being widowed and working as a housekeeper. There is another Roxana Black that was born in 1811 in Maine and never left that state. The census shows the Roxana born about 1819 to have her first name as Rocksanna but this is likely a phonetic spelling error by the census taker. You may be able to obtain some information of value from the World Family Tree (WFT) CD ROM that is available for a price through Genealogy.com and also likely from Ancestry.com. You can also get a short time subscription to view this CD ROM. The WFT reference is Volume II, Tree 830 that covers the 1810 to 1819 time period and contains some data on!
