Do you have more information on the children of Peter Black (specifically John Black)? I have a John Black (my g-g-g-grandfather) that was born in Butler Co., PA in 1806, but I cannot find anything out about his parents or if he had any siblings. My John Black married Catherine Keener in 1828 and I presume he died (although I suppose that it is possible that he divorced or deserted her) around 1835 since Catherine remarries in 1836 to Moses Wilhelm. John and Catherine had only one son born in 1830 in Indiana Co., PA named Solomon (is it possible he's named after the Solloman in your line?). Do you have any information that would point to a connection between your John (the son of your Peter Black) and my John? Could your John be my John's father? I would be interested in any information that you have on that family line. You can e-mail me at if you like.
