I am searching for information on the ancestors of my great-great-grandfather, Gavin Black (born in Stirling in 1839 / Married to Catherine in 1862). Gavin was a cabinetmaker and they moved to Liverpool where they had 12 children - Marion, Christina, Catharine, Jane, Ellen, Gavin (my great-grandfather who married Kate McLaren in 1900), Jessie, Mary, Margaret, Wilhelmina, Agnes and Arthur. Gavin Snr and Gavin Jnr had a business (joinery) in Oriel Road, Birkdale. If you have any information on Gavin or Catharine's ancestors I'd be glad to hear from you. Laurane x
