I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I have searched for several years
for my great-grandfather's family, but not much luck. My g-grandfather was
Arthur B. Black, possibly born in KY about 1868. He married Margie Thompson
in Logan Co. AR Nov. 18, 1888. At that time he lived in Patterson Bluff and
she in Morrison's Bluff near, I think the Dardanelle River.
He had a brother, Belve B. (Bell) about 4 years older who married Margie's
step-sister, Roxanna Thompson, Logan Co. AR, 1890. They all eventually moved
to Faukner Co. AR (Greenbrier area or a small community called Holland).
They moved to LeFlore Co. OK, but Belve eventually moved back to Greenbrier,
I think, as that is where he is buried.
Arthur and Margie are buried in Short Mt. Cem. near Cowlington, OK.
My grandmother thought the sons had a sister, Cora, who may have raised them
after death of their parents. She was probably older than them. She possibly
lived around Conway, AR, which is near Greenbrier.
Their parents may have been: John Arthur Black and Janie Ellen unknown.
I know some of the descendants moved to TX and CA.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any info.
This is basically all I have except I do have many of the children's names
etc.
Thanks,
Linda
