GGrandfather was Archibald Perry Black b May 22 1858 in NC, died May 29 1919 in Dallas Texas, married to Newell Elizabeth Crane. On his death certificate, is listed name of father as Archibald Black from Scotland, and Margarette Perry of NC.

In the 1860, 1870, and 1880 Census for Cumberland Co NC, can be found Archibald G Black (b abt 1816 in Scotland) and wife Margaret (b abt 1829 in NC) along with children John G, Ben, Catherine, Frank, Archibald, Mary, Malcolm, James, and John. Also their marriage date is recorded as Feb 2, 1846 in Cumberland Co.

Any information on ancestry of this Archibald Black (not to be confused with the Archibald and Margaret Black of New Hanover County) or ancestry of Margaret Perry will be appreciated.
