HI Susan,
Do you know if you have a Abel Black in your files. He had a daughter of the name Isabelle Black b. in 1845 in Mo. along with her sister they called Sary, also born in 1841 in Mo.
I have no idea who the mother was to these girls or exactly what happened to her. I am assuming she died.
Abel married by widowed 3rd GR.Grandmother in Charity aka Charlotte Baze, Ross, Black in 1852 at Cassville, Barry Co. Mo. They had 4 children born to them.
Apparently Abel had family in Pa. as Charity took one of their daugthers Mary Ann Black to Pa. and watched President Lincoln give his Ghettisburgh Address speech.
