I see your several messages concerning Nannie Black and William Garret Taylor and am curious as to why you believe that Nannie is Cherokee. Nannie ( Nancy L. ) and her brothers Thomas G. and Amos Clement Black married children of Henry and Eliza Ellen (Virgin) Taylor.

Nannie's parents were Benjamin Perry Black and Amanda Quarles from Mercer Co., Kentucky. I have some information on the Black's would like to know more about Taylor ancestors Garret and Polly Isham. Their daughter Caroline is direct ancestor of my wife's aunt Mildred Howard whose line I am tracing. Also have a researcher very interested in this line descended from Amos C. Black and Sarah Frances Taylor.
