My great,great grandfather was William Black who immigrated from Ireland around 1845 or later. He became a naturalized citizen in 1849. His wife was Magaret Mitchell also from Ireland. They settled in Town of Kortright in Delaware County, New York. Anyone familiar with this family. I need to know where in Ireland they came from. When he was 79, he stated in the 1900 census, that his mother and his father were born in Scotland. He was born in 1821.
