High Tim It is long time since you posted your message .You may not need any help now . But I think your Thomas Black Is the same as my Thomas Sanderson Black Birn 1805 County Tyrone. Died 8th Feb 1888 .He married Maryanne Lyons Alexander who died in 1861. Their children were Margaret, Robert, William , Thomas , Sanderson & Maryanne.
If you need more info please email me at . I also would like to know more about the ancestors in Ireland. I have a copy of Thomas's diary cover about 10 years in Opotiki NZ. A little boring & hard to read hand writing. Please contact me if these findings match yours
