Aside from clan McGregor, Black is also of the clan's McLean and Lamont. The
Black surname found in Ireland is from Scotland, belonging to one of the
three clans. A good site for more information is electricscotland. My Black
family is from Glendaruel in Argyll and are a sept of clan Lamont, spent a
few generations in Donegal Ireland, then immigrating to Boston Mass. and
