I'm collecting data for the family of my Great-Uncle Clinton Baugh Black,
who died in Clark Co., Ohio, in Feb., 1938, and about whom I have plenty of
information and pictures. So far I have received a wealth of information
about one of his sisters - Frances (Black) Fergus, of Columbus, OH. And I
believe that I'm close on the trail of an obituary for his brother, Charles
E. Black (1862-1944 - Providence, R.I.), although I do need his exact death
date.

I'm now trying to determine the exact death date of his brother, Dr. Hilton
S. Black, who was born in 1874, Clark Co., OH,
to parents Charles and Harriet (Baugh) Black. In 1938, when his brother
Clint died, he was living in Youngstown, OH.
Social Security Death Index was a dead end.
I visited the Rootsweb cemetery project - found only two Youngstown
semeteries listed - and he was not mentioned at either.
Evidently, the Youngstown Public Library doesn't keep a surname file of
obituaries.
If anyone can point me to the source of an obituary - or to a living
descendant willing to share data - I'll be very grateful.
I'm currently writing to the Ohio Dept. of Health's vital records dept. -
but I have no idea whether he died in Ohio.
