Our BLACK family was BLACHARZ in Poland, near Lodz. The sisters came over by way of London, England in 1905-6. Their trip was paid for by a family named MARKS in the UK and in Cleveland. Our Lewis was involved in a ferryboat accident where he was hit by a milk truck. He collected a large sum of money from that. He eventually went to Cleveland. Our Harry had a daughter who became an attorney. He was a silk merchant in Passiac, we think.
