The following is a link to the information that I have published on the
Black family.
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=blackh&id=I020
This will give you the essential information, names and dates. Frank and
Sarah moved to Warren County Ohio sometime before 1900 with their 6 boys and
1 girl. They bought land in Fosters, Hamilton Township, Warren County in
1900 and, for the most part, lived and died in Fosters, Deerfield Township
and Kings Island. I have accounted for just about all of the descendants
and can say with a high degree of confidence that there is no Xenia
connection. My grandparents moved to Dayton where I was born in 1949. We
did move to Beavercreek in Green County and my sisters and I went to
Beavercreek High School. We also have cousins, the Doherty's that moved to
Xenia in the late 1950's and are still there.

There is a descendant of Clinton Black that still lives in the Fosters area.
I will ask her if she remembers a Hurley family.

If there is a connection then it would have happened one generation before.
Of the five children of Benjamin and Susan that survived to adulthood, Peter
and Geo remained in Fairfield county. Sometime in the 1880's Frank moved to
Fosters, William moved to Champagne Urbana Ohio, and Lewis moved to
Cincinnati. They also had a grandson that moved to Springfield Ohio. I
believe though that he was severely handicapped and doubt that he would have
married and had children.

Hope this clarifies things

Hugh

> Hugh, I am interested in the Blacks you mentioned in Warren Co., OH.,
names, dates, etc. My Black family is from the Xenia, Greene Co., OH area
which is right next to Warren Co. My grandfather, Brinton Baker Black
married Lily Jane Hurley who was actualy born in Warren Co.
