I, too, have read that "ancestor William Black" changed his surname from Schwartz to Black. I haven't haven't done any research to verify this. Right now all my concentration is on Christopher and Margaret's family. I don't want to go beyond them until I can account for all their children & their families.

I'm still looking for Margaret's death & burial; Franklin's widow, Elizabeth E. Stone; Elizabeth's daughters Mercy Elmira Bogard Turner & Mahala Ann Bogard Trimble Evans Lamar; Rachel & her family; Caroline & her family.
