Sarah BLACK is listed as the wife of John Cheney Scroggin. She was born 31
March, 1823 and was "a full-blooded Cherokee Indian". They were married 17
August 1848. Their photo also appears in this book. Also, in a book by Loma
Scroggins, "Scroggins Acres", p390 is reference to this.
