In Conway County book, "Conway County, Our Land, Our Home, Our People", Sarah BLACK is listed as the wife of John Cheney Scroggin. She was born 31 March, 1823 and was "a full-blooded Cherokee Indian". They were married 17 August 1848. Their photo also appears in this book. Also, in a book by Loma Scroggins, "Scroggins Acres", p390 is reference to this.
