These could be desendants of one of these familys I don't know, but I'll place them here, for they were in Illinois,
also.

Mr. George Leslie and Mr. Silas Black family.
b: in Belfast, Ireland
Came to U.S. October of 1869

Were engaged in the dry goods business in Danville,
Vermilion County, Illinois.

James H. Black family
b: 6th of January, 1814. In Burbon County, kentucky.
m: 1834 to Eliza Ann Odell, native of New York.

Farmer: Vermilion County, Illinois.

James H. Black's father name was Mr. John Black, from
Kentucky.

These excerpts are from The History of Vermilion County.Il.
Published in 1879, by H. Beck.

I have a short history of these two Black, families if
you want to read it, I'll send it to your E-mail address.
Let me know.

You can contact the historical Society in Danville,
Vermilion County, Illinois also. This may or may not
be a connected family with the Black's you are searching.
As your's were in Illinois I sent these names.
