obit PLANTENA R 'TEANY' BLACK

Plantene R "Teany" BLACK, 81, of Morrisons Cove Home, formerly of HCR Robertsdale, died at 2:12 a.m., Friday, Dec 27, 2002, at the home. Born Friday Oct 28, 1921 in Cooks, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Reba (LEADER) CHILCOTE. She was the widow of James Robert BLACK. She is survived by a grand-daughter and a daughter-in-law. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her son James M BLACK. Mrs. BLACK was a memeber of the Robertsdale Church of Good (I believe this should be God). She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross while living in the Pittsburgh area. Mrs BLACK was a foster parent to many children and she enjoyed caring for others. She worked as a nursery schoool teacher at Greenfield Church of God. During her life she enjoyed being involved with her church activities and crafting. Funeral services were held at the Robertsdale Church of God !
on Monday, Dec 30 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Donald SIMMONS officiating. Interment was made in Bethel Cemetery in New Grenada. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. BLACK's name to the Robertsdale Church of God, Robertsdale, PA 16674.
