My grandfather was Samuel Franklin Black. I don't have much information on him other than his mother's name was Sarah Ann. She was married at least three times. My mother always refered to her grandfather as Daddy Sam. Sarah Ann married a man whose last name was McClenden. At one time Sarah Ann owned a ranch at Admiral, Tx. She moved to Ft. Worth, TX and opened a rooming house and took in sewing. If you have any information on this line of the Black family I would love to hear from you. Some of the Black family is buried in Stacy Tx.
