Joanne,
That's something that I didn't know. I have a copy of my great grandpa Sam and great grandma Ella's marriage license. I knew that Sam had been married twice and that my great grandma was his second wife, but I didn't know that Tolivar had been married 3 times. Was Wincey his first, second, or third? Which was which? Also didn't know that Winnifred was her real name. On the license it said Wincey. If you want to email me, my email address is . I do have the name of one of Tolivar's brothers as William Henry H. Black. he was born January 6, 1840. Died June 1, 1922. Buried in Beatrice. My family always makes sure to visit his and his wife's graves every Memorial Day. He had a wife named Lucy. Her middle initial was "A". William has an epitaph on his stone that's pretty neat. Buried next to them is, and this is according to my grandaunt (my grandaunt being one of Great Grandpa Sam and Great Grandma Ella's daughters still living), William and Lucy's!
son. Perry L. Black. Not much known on him. I do have some dates, though. B: October 26,1873. D: December 14, 1923. His stone is extremely difficult to read. My family did stone rubbings this past year. My brother had to do his to get a date to stand out. This is on William's stone: Behold ye strangers passing by/As you are now, so once was I/As I am now, so you must be/Prepare for death, and follow me. William was a mason. So, apparently, was Perry. Sam and Ella are located next to Ella's parents. By the way, Great Grandma Ella's real name is Martha Ellen. Hope to hear from you.
