My fathers mother was Mary Black Harris, she was married to Yance or Yancey Harris, my father was Garrett Liston Harris, he died in dec. 1950, Mary Black Harris had one brother that I know of Efram Black, lived on Ferguson Hill Rd. in Burnsville N.C. Yancey County. My father died when I was four years old. I dont know of any other brother or sisters of My grandmother Mary. I do know that she still has several neices and nephews living in Yancey County. I would like to learn more about my fathers family, any information on the Harris or Black family of Yancey County would be appreciated.
