I am looking for info and relatives of ? Black who fathered 3 children by Hassie Gilreath in Anderson, S.C. Their names were James, Paul and Elizabeth (I think). The kids carried the
Gilreath name.
One of Hassie's sisters-in-law was a Black...I don't know if Hassie's "friend" could have been her brother, or other relative.
I have heard of someone named "Willie"...don't know who he is, though.
We were told that James would not have anything to do with this man, but that he and his wife lived across the street from him on Gossett St.
We are just trying to find out about "the other side" of our family.
