I am trying to find out any info on my great grandfather John McKinley Black. He may have been born in Calhoun County Alabama in abt 1897. His father's name was Thomas Black and his mother's name was Willie Black. I think she was from Tenn. John had a sister Pattie I. Black born in 1886 and a brother whos initials are N.A. Black born in 1894. N.A. and his wife died in 1918 within two days of each other from some disease that was going around. I believe they had a surviving child. They all lived in Georgia.
John worked for the railroads in the 1920's as a clerk and moved to Texas to work for the railroad there. He was also a member of the Masons. This is where he disappears. ANYBODY out there who knows anything about him please let me know.
