Shirley, Questions for you or anyone else who may think our families are connected... The John Brinkley and McConnell marriage... I have a Laura Bell McConnell married to John Brinkley in Gallatin, County, Ill . Aug. 01, 1882. Is this the same as your LEATHA McConnell ? Do you know which of the Blacks Brinkleys and McConnells went to Arkansas or when or How do you know ??? Do you know or suspect and of the other Blacks being in the McConnell family.?

The marriage cert from Williamson Co., Ill. has Caladonia Tennessee Black's father as James Black and mother listed only by her maiden name of Cawhon. I did find in the 1860 Williamson Co census a James G. Black with wfe as Elizabeth J. and one son as Jno W. Black. I am waiting for the 1870 and 1880 Wms.Co.census to catch a "George" and Caladonia with the same family Johns birth date should be 1859, George in 1861 and Caladonias 1862.Dec...
