BLACK - On Monday, September 9, 1907, at 6 a.m. at her home, 223 Center Street, Glendale, Pa., Margaret Black (nee Lowrey), aged 83 years, widow of William R. Black and mother of Wiliam and Orlando Black.
Funeral from McDermott Bros.' mortuary at Carnegia, Pa., on Wednesday, September 11, at 2 p.m. Interment at Jennings' cemetery.

Mrs. Margaret Black
Mrs. Margaret Black, 84 years old, died yesterday at her home in Center Street, Glendale. She had lived in the vicinity of Carnegie more than 40 years, coming from Ireland. When Mansfield, now Carnegie was a village, Mrs. Black was a toll gate tender at the plank road. The toll gate was closed 35 years ago. Mrs. Black is survived by two sons, William, of Carnegia, and Orlando Black, of Washington.

Mrs. Margaret Black
Mrs. Margaret Black, aged 84, died Monday at her home in Center Street, Glenndale. She lived in the vicinity of Carnegie over 40 years, coming from Ireland, her native country. When Mansfield, now Carnegie, was a village, Mrs. Black was a toll gate tender at the plank road. The toll gate stood at Main and Washington avenues on the site where Thompson's drug store now stands. It was closed over 35 years ago. Mrs. Black is survived by two sons, William of Washington, and Orlando Black of Carnegie.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Wm. Snowball, Carothers avenue.

The Jennings Cemetery is no longer in existence. The Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church (31 Warriors Rd., Pittsburgh, PA, 412-921-8444) now owns the property and maintains the cemetery. Margaret's remains were moved to the Chartier's Cemetery.
