James Black resided in old Tryon/Rutherford County NC. Died Sept. 27, 1827,
at the age of 72, and is buried at Mt. Harmony Methodist Church near
Polkville NC. Wife, Rachel, also buried at Mt. Harmony. Gravestone indicates
she was 86 at the time of death, but provides no birth/death dates. James
apparently born in Virginia. Seeking info on exactly where he was born, his
parents, and his children. Possible children included Moses, Lydia.
