I am looking for a Mary Black, that according to my family was a Cherokee. She married into the Janney family, and her daughter Mary Ann Janny married Charles Rakes. The only information I have on this person comes from a bible I can find no mention of her anywhere else. This is a real puzzle since all the legal documents name Malinda Hail in her place. any info greatly appreciated.
This all happened in West Virginia and Mary Black would have died before 1950
