Looking for information on my father's family,Virgil Taylor Black.Born l880 in Whiteright,Grayson County,Texas to Charley and Mary Black. Birth certificate showed Mary Black from Alanlta Ga. and Charley Black unknown. There were two children born to Charley and Mary,Virgil-l880 and Oral l883. Mary died in childbirth in l883. Father left and whereabouts unknown. I remember the name of Lane talked about several times and think that Mary could be a Lane. I have a picture of my father's(Virgil) uncle's house and his name was Joseph T. Black.In 1945 he got a letter from Mt. Pleasant(Titus County) Texas concerning an inheritance. There was a question of the address of a Beulah Mae Eubanks. Because the courthouse burned in Grayson County there are no records of my father's birth and it was signed by a Sarah Lane -this was in l945 when he applied for Social Security ,I suppose. Sarah Lane had a Houston address at that time. Thanks Lela(Black)Marley
