Hi,
I haven't run across the name Will, but Elizabeth Black is the Sioux in my family. The only info I have is that she was married to Elijah R. Reed, mother of my grandfather Tyles Reed who was born in 1893. That is off of Tyle's death certificate. The Black trail ends there with place of birth unknown.Tyles Reed married Beatrice Williams. So much of it sounds close but probably the dates don't work out. But you're the first person who has come up with Elizabeth Black and the Sioux connection. Maybe there is something there. Do any of these other names come up? Do you think it might be possible that the name was handed down to the daughter? Just a long shot thought. Let me know if this helps or doesn't help. I've almost given up.
Jessie
