Hey, Nancy Fowler
I know where Malinda BLACK SUMMEY and Lemuel C. SUMMEY are buried, but I cannot for the life of me find out where they lived except for the 20 plus years they lived here in Spartanburg, SC. I need to go ahead and enroll at Ancestry.com I guess, but having lost a job lately there is not any funds available for it, nor can I just jump into the car and run on over to Knoxville, it is just far enough away to make it a [stay over night] trip. Maybe, I can find out somthing through the LDS people. I just know that there has to be a census report somewhere...with the names, or at least some of the names, BLACK, John, Nancy, Martha Malinda, Cordia, William and Joseph, listed in the same household during the years between 1860-1885 as Malinda is listed with a birthdate of 1870 and I have no idea of her birth position in the family. Mama said her daddy's name was JIM. Malinda's death certificate stated his name as JOHN as per information provided byUncle FRANK. I wonder if !
your name, NANCY came from Great Grandmother NANCY?
