There are 2 Rebecca Blacks, as far as I can tell. One is dau. of John Black, (the 1st original purchacer of land in IL) and the other was believed to be dau. of David Black.

The following was concerning the dau. of John Black:

Rebecca Jane Black married Robert Stevenson Donaldson and they had several children, one of which was Mary (either Melissa or Elizabeth, we are not sure) Donaldson.
Mary Donaldson married William Milton Emery on January 10, 1873 in Shawneeetown, Illinois, Gallatin County. They had three children, Phineas William Emrah, John Logan Emrah and a baby girl that we believe died at birth on April 19, 1878.

This is on the "assumed" dau. of David Black:
In the 1880 census, Rebecca is listed with her dau. Nancy and son in law, Samuel Brinkley, #109/110.
Eagle Creek Precinct. She is "assumed" to be another dau. of the original David Black - sister to John H. Black. Also lists both parents born in VA.
