Message Board Post:

Looking for any information on Caroline Black, daughter of Christopher Black and Margaret Lamb. Caroline was born May 1849 in Mason Co. IL (a month after the death of her father). Sometime between 1850 and 1860 Caroline's mother Margaret died. Caroline and her twin sister Catherine were living with an older sister Elizabeth Black Bogard in Bourbon County KS in 1860. In 1870 Caroline is still living in Bourbon County but now it's with her twin who is married by then - Catherine Black Tennison/Tennyson (2nd wife of John Wesley Tennison,Tennyson, b. TN). After the 1870 census Caroline's trail grows cold.
Siblings of Caroline were:
Franklin, b. about 1829, wife named Elizabeth E. Stone
Elizabeth, b. 1833 - Married names: Bayless, Bogard, Evans.
Clinton, b. 1840, wife named Persia Sizlove (pronounced Per-see-uh)
Henry Clay, b. about 1842 - died during Civil War
Rachel, b. about 1845 - Married name Smith, son named Jacob
Catherine, b. May 1849 - Twin sister to Caroline, married name Tennison/Tennyson.
